Great director Shankar has recently delivered a utter flop film in Tamil "Nanban", which is a remake of Bollywood hit film "3 Idiots". The dubbed version of Nanban released in Telugu with the title "Snehithudu" and the Telugu version film also bombed at box-office.Nanban is a first remake movie for Shankar, after the movie flop he has promised that he will never do remakes in rest of his life.
Now, director Shankar is planning to make a film with hero Vikram and the movie tentatively titled as ‘Elections' for Telugu version.The movie is said to be a political thriller and the Tamil version film title is ‘Therdal’, because Tamil Nadu Government do not allow English movie titles.
